Individuals who, in the course of a tour, attempt to use the
locations visited or historical information given to further any racist
or political belief (of whatever persuasion) shall be barred from
further participation in the tour, without recompense. Dark
History encourage historical debate and discussion but will not allow
our services to be abused. All visitors to Germany (whether or not they
take a tour with Dark History) are reminded that denial of The Holocaust
and the giving of the so-called "German Greeting" carry severe penalties
here. Ignorance of this fact is not a defence. Further, what you might
consider to be a funny rendition of, for example, a certain John Cleese
sketch would be of great offence to many and probably at the least, you
would get a word from the local police. They certainly would not find it
amusing.
As of March 2011 a 50% deposit is required, to be paid at least 2 weeks before your tour. Requests for tours booked at shorter notice will be considered on a case by case basis and specific dates cannot be guaranteed. Should you cancel more than one week in advance of your tour, you will receive the full deposit back, less any banking fees. Cancellation of tour within one week of start time: Dark History Tours retain your deposit unless in our opinion, there are especially mitigating circumstances. If booking multiple tours, a deposit is required only for the initial one. Sometimes the unexpected really will happen. In the unlikely event that due to sickness/alien abduction/exile etc we are unable to provide your booked tour on the day and time specified, we will offer a similar or alternative tour exceeding the price you have already paid a deposit on, either with us or with another trusted company, or a full refund.
Dark History shall not be held responsible for any loss or damage to
property or individuals on any tour. Be aware that bicycle paths run
along many pavements and also that in Europe, traffic drives on the
right-hand side of the road. Whilst every care is taken on tours, we
cannot be held responsible for accidents or incidents outside of our
control. Ensure that you have adequate medical cover before you take
your holiday. Check the current forecast here:
Good, sensible shoes or boots
are also must for all tours regardless of the weather conditions. High
heels or similar are
definitely not recommended! |
